Find out who are the artists selected for the VAGABUNDAS Artistic Residency

Catarina Vieira and Marta Xavier were the artists selected from among 37 applications that reached us during the month of February, while the Open Call for VAGABUNDAS took place. It was a very tough choice, taking into account the quantity and quality of the applications that reached us, and all of them are to be congratulated for the projects presented and for the generosity with which they made their work available for the competition.

The two winners will travel to Mina de S. Domingos in April, and there they will have the opportunity to develop their projects, with the necessary conditions, taking advantage of this wonderful connection and the generosity of its people to think and create with complete freedom and dignity that women creators still often lack.
