MALACATE Open Days are coming to the São Domingos Mine.

From March 27th to 29th, we will have three days of festivities to celebrate the start of the MALACATE 2025 Season.

We begin the 2025 Season with Open Days, in which we will revisit some of the artistic creations presented between 2021 and 2023, we will launch the book "LUGAR - the MALACATE project and the Mina de S. Domingos", an edition that brings together the contributions of several participants in MALACATE and the project's photographic collection, we will welcome the artists selected for the VAGABUNDAS project - Mercedes Blasco Artistic Residency and we will open the works of the Malacate Council.

This will be the Open Days schedule:

Programa dia 27, 18h no Musical projeção da peça Caixa de Perguntas; dia 28, às 16h no Musical, projeção do documentário Fragmentos de uma entropia, às 16h30 no musical, projeção da performance Abandonada Mente e às 19h no Mercado, inauguração das obras de revitalização do Mercado Municipal; dia 29 às 15h no musical apresentação das artistas selecionadas para o programa vagabundas e às 19h no cineteatro lançamento do livro LUGAR, a Mina de São Domingos e o Projeto Malacate.

And this is just the beginning, because between April and June there will be a lot to discover in the activities that are planned and that you can find in the next pages of this program.

We hope that this renewed MALACATE will make its way together with the community of Mina de São Domingos and contribute to a new cultural center in Baixo Alentejo, one that is participatory and diverse.
