“It Is and It Isn’t” — A debut full of emotion, questions and many open doors

Premiering a show is always a special moment. And the premiere of “It Is and It Isn’t, or the true story of the guards who arrested Antigone” was no exception.

The journey began on May 2nd, with two sessions for schools at TEMPO – Teatro Municipal de Portimão. The rooms were full of positive energy, with curious young people who were willing to think with us. The following day, it was the general public ’s turn — and we were greeted with generous applause, knowing smiles and a human warmth that filled our hearts.

Designed for young people aged 10 and over and their families , this show, with text and direction by Miguel Maia , invites us to look at events with fresh eyes. To laugh, to think... and above all to ask better questions .

There is live music. There is humor. There are essential questions.

And there are five guards who arrest Antigone… but they don’t forget what they saw.

A huge thank you

This premiere would not have been possible without the wonderful artistic and technical team of “É e Não É” . Your dedication, talent and dedication were essential in every detail, on and off stage. Thank you for making this show happen.

A special thanks to the team at TEMPO – Teatro Municipal de Portimão , for the warm welcome, constant availability and for making us feel truly at home.

And of course, our most heartfelt thanks go to the public . It's for you that we do this. Thank you for being with us.

É e Não É will return in November , for a tour of other stages in the country.

Stay tuned to our schedule — there’s much more to come.
