Konrad is almost at Casa do Coreto.

Updated: Sep 18

In October, we premier at Casa do Coreto, in Carnide, the play “Konrad… or the boy who came out of a can of sardines” aimed at children and young people (6 to 14 years old), with text and dramaturgy by MIGUEL MAIA, based on novel by the Austrian Christine Nöstlinger (1936-2018).

This story tells the strange case of an “instant boy” delivered to the home of an eccentric woman who takes him in as a mother, and constitutes a delightful allegory about the demanding world in which we live, with the difficulties we all feel in making ourselves heard and, in the process, being understood.

Rehearsals have already begun and from October 4th you can meet this "instant boy" and his unlikely mother, Mrs. Bartolotti, as well as other fun characters who help tell this story that mixes humor and fantasy and makes us think about such important themes as the acceptance of difference, nonconformity and the importance of education in the construction of personality.
