This 6th edition of the festival Esta noite grita-se had many outstanding moments. We visited new spaces: the Municipal Alcântara Library, the Centro Cultural de Belém and we closed with a golden key at the Teatro Nacional D. Maria II.
This year, a total of 24 interpreters participated in the 5 texts taken to various spaces in Lisbon. We read texts by Shakespeare, Werner Schwab, Lola Arias, David Mamet and by the winning author of the 2nd edition of the New Dramaturgy Award for Female Authorship, Maria Giulia Pinheiro.
The public filled several sessions and followed us attentively during the several weeks in which we enjoyed listening to texts worked on by actors and actresses with an almost childlike enthusiasm, of someone starting to know new words, as if saying them for the first time.
