The winner of the 2nd edition was Maria Giulia Pinheiro, with the text Isso não é relevante (That's not relevant - our translation).
Patrícia Portela, member of the Jury of the 2nd Edition of the Nova Dramaturgia Feminina Award, along with Joana Craveiro and Francisco Frazão, describes the text "That's not relevant" as an invitation to hear what we think and can't say. Or saying what we don't think but are doing. Written in a very specific protocol that oscillates between subtext and commonplace, speed and doubt, this disconcerting text forces us to make sense of what we don't understand and to notice the absurdity of certain convictions that we all share, here and there, at the most inconvenient times.
Starting at a simple table in a restaurant or cafe, complaining about a voice that was found in the soup like someone who finds a dirty hair in a brilliant idea, the characters expose their anxieties, and try to occupy the (non) places that do not belong to them, their desire for change, inhibitions, ready-made ideas.
Applications were open between January 1 and March 31, 2022, with 3 finalist authors selected from more than 120 texts, who had the opportunity to discuss and work on the works presented with the accompaniment of one of the members of the jury. The winner Maria Giulia Pinheiro was accompanied by Patrícia Portela.
